Managing Money

A short, accredited course in ‘Managing Money’. Participants will examine case studies of debt; be introduced to basic benefits and wages; shown how to understand: bank accounts; and research realistic costs for daily living. Participants will practice basic budgeting and explore ways to save money. [view pdf]
Drug and Alcohol Management

A short, accredited course in ‘Drug and Alcohol Management’. Participants will examine their own history of substance use and the gains and losses associated with it. They will understand their own triggers and reasons for using substances and be introduced to strategies for resistance as well as ways of resisting pressure. [view pdf]
Anger Awareness

A short, accredited course in ‘Anger Awareness'. Participants will be encouraged to identify their own triggers for, and symptoms of, anger. They will be introduced to a range of tools and strategies for taking control of their anger and will examine the thinking patterns that feeds their anger. Interpersonal Skills

A short, accredited course in 'Interpersonal Skills'. Young people taking part in the course will understand stress and healthy ways to deal with it; bullying and ways of responding to it; their own self-esteem and how to improve it; and basic sexual health and drugs awareness. [view pdf]
Tackling the causes of Stress

A short, accredited course in 'Tackling the causes of Stress'. This course is designed to cover the most common causes of stress identified by young people in Gloucestershire's 'Online Pupil Survey'. The issues covered are: Identifying stress; Bullying; relationships; and basic budgeting. [view pdf]
Relationships

A short, accredited course in 'relationships'. Young people taking part in the course will be helped to examine what makes helpful and unhelpful relationships; to identify their own rights and responsibilities in relationships; and to understand what influence substance use may have on relationships. Preparing for Work

A short, accredited course in 'Preparing for Work'. Participants will be encouraged to identify their own skills and qualities and be guided in understanding how to present those attributes to a potential employer. There will also be opportunities to practice application form filling, CV writing, and interview skills. [view pdf]
Personal Safety

A short, accredited course in ‘Personal Safety’. Participants will understand their rights and responsibilities around staying safe and will research where to get help if they feel unsafe. They will gain understanding of the risks they may take and practice planning a safe night out. [view pdf]
Partnership Programmes
The Nelson Trust Family Focus service is a partnership between the Nelson Trust and InfoBuzz, delivering support for children and families with complex needs in a range of different settings across Gloucestershire. Our goal is to improve the emotional well-being of children and young people by working directly with young people, with their families, and through multi-agency collaboration. Our service provision combines the strengths of a multi-disciplinary team which can respond flexibly to evolving patterns of need.
Family Work

Family Focus is a Multi-dimensional Family Therapy Service that supports families where parental substance misuse is/has negatively impacted on family functioning and relationships. [view pdf]
Parenting Services

Parents who are, or have been, involved with substance misuse often find it difficult to engage in generic parenting programmes due to the associated guilt and shame surrounding addiction. These parenting workshops and therapeutic clinics offer the opportunity for parenting skills support with the necessary understanding and consideration for the influence of drugs and alcohol. Alternative Curriculum Provision

Turnaround is an integrated learning programme of education and therapy; a holistic, inclusive approach designed to help young people put their drug and alcohol problems behind them and take control of their lives. [view pdf]
PSA Services

This service is delivered in secondary schools and supports parents with needs identified through the CAF process, or via self referral/internal referral. It also supports pupils identified as potentially needing multi agency support by carrying out the CAF process. [view pdf]
Other Programmes
Breakthrough Mentoring
Breakthrough mentoring is individual, activity based, high quality mentoring. Many young people go through times when they need support from outside the school, college or family. If their emotional difficulties are not severe enough to warrant medical intervention, a safe place and a safe person to talk to can make the difference. InfoBuzz can allocate a mentor to provide regular, focused support for an agreed period of time. [view pdf]

Emotional Wellbeing: Group Work
Growing up in today’s world is difficult and young people are facing more pressures than ever before. Maintaining emotional and mental well-being is critical to young people’s development and ability to learn yet so many different issues and circumstances may create difficulties for them. Where accredited courses are not appropriate or not wanted, InfoBuzz can design and deliver programmes ranging from single sessions to long-term engagement to work with any issue(s).

One to One Targeted Intervention (Tier 2)
InfoBuzz provides the county-wide targeted intervention service for young people who are identified as experiencing difficulties with substances. Young people are referred to the service via the county’s Hub, dependent on their level of need as identified through the county-wide screening procedure. They are offered a six week intervention that is designed to address both the level and extent of their use, why they are using, and how long they’ve been using.. [view pdf]
