Headspace Training delivered a mental health conference to 100 designated teachers at The Pavillion in Cheltenham on 5th November on behalf of the Virtual School. Keynote speakers were Kathleen Carroll an independent advocate for children in care from Newcastle and John Rees a PHSE consultant from Doncaster.
There were 6 workshops available for participants to choose from including:
Non Violent Resistance—an exploration of resilience in teaching
Advocating for Children in Care
Working towards an emotionally intelligent curriculum
The impact of attachment on mental health
Building confidence and self esteem with Lego®
