Mark Sheridan - Chair
Mark Sheridan was a COO for Zurich with many years of global financial services experience, including an extensive background in running back office operations, customer care teams and IT and business change functions. He has managed teams in over 25 locations world-wide and has a particular passion for creating customer care cultures, understanding loyalty economics and working with multifunction, cross border teams. Mark now spends time in the educational and sporting sectors, as a mentor, coach and lecturer. He is also a Chairman of a volunteering charity, and an active rugby referee.
Has a rich history in international business, managing large mergers and acquisitions. Robin is the retired CEO of PayByPhone having brought the Canadian based company to the UK in 2004. Robin successfully expanded the company across Europe, building the business's reputation as market leader. Robin has an Masters in Experimental Psychology and enjoys keeping active with skiing, tennis, golf and cricket.
Judge Jamie Tabor
Jamie retired after fifteen years of being in charge of Gloucester Crown Court, where he was praised for his 'very strong sense of fairness'.
Nigel Hatten QPM
Nigel is former Detective Sergeant who has gained significant recognition for outstanding achievement in the areas of Child Protection and Safeguarding. Nigel has extensive experience in all aspects of criminal investigation, victim advocacy and multi-agency working. Before retiring Nigel’s last position was managing the multi-agency, Child Sexual Exploitation and Indecent Images of Children teams based in the Public Protection Bureau. Nigel is a registered Safeguarding trainer for the county and has been awarded both the Queen’s Police Medal and the High Sheriff’s Award in recognition of his Child Protection and Safeguarding work.
Debbie is Head Teacher of a primary school in Stroud that caters for 260 children. In this role Debbie works with many outside agencies in order to support children’s varying needs including their social and emotional development, which Debbie believes is the key to equipping young people with the skills to tackle other areas of life. Debbie also has over twelve years’ experience as a classroom teacher, has mentored young people through The Door Youth Project in Stroud and has recently completed a year-long certificate in counselling with Gloucestershire Counselling Services.
Paul is a chartered accountant with over 12 years’ experience, working in practice, advising a diverse range of entrepreneurial businesses. Not just advising on tax but also, devising strategy, restructuring and integrating new systems. Paul is the finance trustee and chairs the charity’s finance committee.
Ian has worked for St. James’s Place for 15 years. In addition to this he has been actively involved in the Charity Sector. He is currently Patron of Swindon Carers Centre after being Chairman for 8 years. He is also Trustee of Friends of Young Carers in Swindon. Ian has previously been a Samaritan and the Chairman of Swindon Samaritans and has served as a Trustee of Swindon Foye.
